This was an excellent week of training. I did not have any nasal and chest congestion from my recent cold. The week included a tough tempo run at a sub 7:00/mile pace and a long run of 16 miles. I felt very strong all week. Next week is the last tough week of training before I start tapering for the Akron Marathon on 9/30.
- Wednesday 8/30 – 7.3 miles – 56:16 – 7:43/mile pace - this run included 5 miles at tempo pace of 6:59/mile
- Friday 9/1 – 8.5 miles – 1:13:38 – 8:36/mile pace
- Saturday 9/2 – Stability ball class at the YMCA + 3.2 miles – 28:02 – 8:40/mile pace
- Sunday 9/3 – 16.8 miles – 2:22:02 – 8:24/mile pace – run started at 7:37am
